Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is looking to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer, reporting directly to the Head of IT in Malta. Working within the internal IT team, you will get to mentor junior employees and be a technical lead on maintaining existing and implementing new IT infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting all IT systems and users
• Liaising with external suppliers and technical service providers and provide first and second level support where necessary. 
• Monitoring and managing all installed systems and infrastructure
• Administering internal applications and related databases
• Driving automation processes 
• Ensuring security, business continuity and disaster recovery of internal operational systems
• Assisting in maintaining the relevant documentation as required for internal and compliance requirements
• Assisting with internal IT issues when necessary  
• Supporting development teams 
• Cooperating with external parties regarding new production systems
• Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
