The Communications Function

Acting as the central point of contact for the Authority, the Communications function handles its internal and external communications with the aim of maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders and keeping them up to date, be they employees, licence holders or the public at large. The function is also the designated brand guardian of the MFSA, managing its reputation and image on the various digital and offline platforms, through B2B and consumer education campaigns and events.

 

The role

The Digital Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for managing and enhancing the digital presence and infrastructure of the Authority. This role involves overseeing website functionalities, implementing updates, improving user experience, and ensuring optimal performance of digital platforms. The ideal candidate will also monitor emerging trends in digital technology, and SEO to maintain a secure, user-friendly, and modern online environment.

Job Description and Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing and manage change requests for the organization's website,

• Developing and maintaining functional specifications for the website,

• Leading the development and management of new portals,

• Improving the user experience (UX) across all MFSA websites, ensuring accessibility, efficiency, and engagement,

• Monitoring and implement the latest trends in SEO, optimizing website performance and search visibility,

• Supporting regular website updates, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards,

• Planning, executing, and optimizing email marketing campaigns to enhance user engagement and drive traffic to the website, ensuring alignment with digital strategy and organizational goals,

• Supporting audio-visual (AV) technologies for digital meetings, presentations, and conferences,

• Working with internal stakeholders to ensure website content is aligned with organizational objectives,

• Supporting content updates and oversee content management systems (CMS),

• Tracking website analytics, reporting insights, and suggesting improvements for performance.

 

About you

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing, IT, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field,

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in digital infrastructure, website management, or IT-related roles,

• Experience in SEO, UX design, content management systems (CMS), and digital transformation projects,

• Strong knowledge of web development best practices, security protocols, and compliance standards,

• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, particularly for fraud prevention portals.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, or custom CMS),

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and website back-end frameworks is a plus,

• Experience with SEO tools and Google Analytics for monitoring web performance,

• Experience with project management tools for tracking digital infrastructure updates,

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities,

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills,

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively,

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on optimizing user experience.
