Role Overview
Holding a strategic technical position within the organisation, the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in designing, deploying, and supporting high-profile infrastructure projects. These projects encompass cloud technologies, security, and networking, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and security in IT services.

Key Responsibilities

• Technology Implementation: Design and execute technology projects for clients based on our Client’s strategic cloud and security managed services.

• Preventive Maintenance: Perform proactive upkeep and service enhancements across clients' managed environments, encompassing systems, networking, security, and cloud infrastructure.

• Customer Communication: Maintain transparent communication with clients, updating them on incident progress and notifying them about scheduled changes.

• Client Relationship Management: Foster and sustain robust client relationships to ensure recurring business and high satisfaction levels.

• Documentation & Advisory: Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and refresh client documentation and deliver advisory services, including system evaluations and recommendations.

• Commercial Collaboration: Participate in and support commercial endeavors alongside our Client’s sales team.

• Technology Optimization: Continuously explore opportunities to utilize technologies for improved efficiency, reliability, and security.

• Research & Innovation: Actively contribute to research, innovation, and implementation of new technological initiatives aligned with our Client’s strategic offerings.

• Network Infrastructure: Focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining networking elements such as firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.

• Cloud Infrastructure: Manage Microsoft Azure to design, deploy, and oversee cloud-based infrastructure and services.

• Hybrid Infrastructure: Oversee hybrid IT environments integrating on-premises infrastructure, cloud services, and third-party hosting solutions, optimizing resource utilization and scalability while balancing cost-effectiveness and performance.

• Security Infrastructure: Specialize in deploying and managing security measures like firewalls, security information and event management (SIEM), and endpoint protection technologies.

• Identity and Access Management (IAM) Security: Implement and manage identity and access management systems to ensure authorized access while preventing breaches, adhering to security policies and regulations.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Experience: Ideally, two years of IT-related experience.

• Certifications: Preferably holds IT industry certifications such as Azure Administration, Microsoft Security Administration, Fortinet, CCNA and similar. 

• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of IT services, diagnostic skills, and familiarity with Azure and M365 portals.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.

• Client Relations: Passionate about customer satisfaction with strong client relationship management skills.

• Interpersonal Skills: Open-minded, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, analyse problems, and implement effective solutions.

• Continuous Learning: A proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated with industry developments.
