Quantity Surveyor

Job Description
B&B Construction Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will join their projects team, which is mainly involved in delivering various residential and commercial buildings ranging from pharma production and warehousing, manufacturing plants and more. The key purpose of this position is to support the commercial team by tracking the progress on various projects and manage costings through procurement and implementation, hand in hand with the operational team.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, drawings;
• Assist in the creation and management of subcontracts;
• Undertake cost analysis of the project works;
• Advise on a procurement strategy;
• Prepare and analyse costings for tenders;
• Provide advice on contractual claims;
• Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports;
• Ensuring timely issue and receipt of valuations, payment notices along with a critical focus on works in progress;
• Estimate the quantity and costs of materials;
• Prepare, manage and process the interim payment certificates of work completed;
• Assessment of all applications for payment from subcontractors.

Education & Experience:

• A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying;
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role;
• Possess a good understanding of Windows and ACAD;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in Maltese & English;
• Clean driving licence valid for the Maltese islands.
