Petroleum / Cargo Surveyor

SGS Malta Branch is currently seeking to recruit a Petroleum / Cargo Surveyor to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:

The chosen candidate will work in the oil, chemicals, and gas industry, traded commodities and other industry segments. With the will to learn a variety of skills for career development, the candidate must be enthusiastic and committed to working for prolonged and flexible hours, in port and offshore. This opportunity is open to candidates with no experience in these fields.

Duties: 

• Perform on oil tankers and seagoing vessels the quantification/volume measurements, temperature determination, calculations, documentation, sampling, and reporting of petroleum cargoes and bunker quantities on board these ships 
• On other bulk cargo vessels, as exigencies may arise, similar tasks will be undertaken
• Our goal is that the customer receives an independent and accurate status of their commodities stowed on board their vessels and storage. 

Requirements:  

• Minimum of an O-level standard of education
• A clean driving license
• Able to work flexible days and hours including weekends and public holidays.
