Planning Authority in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Land Surveyor to join their team on a full-time basis.
Job Role:
The selected candidate will provide field surveys and office draughting operations to satisfy requests for setting outs and topographic surveys.
Duties and areas of responsibilities:
Organizes and executes topographic and engineering surveys to match required accuracy standards.
Assists in the densification of Horizontal and Vertical control networks as required.
Motivates and leads a survey team to provide a quality service for Land Survey and Mapping requirements.
Responsible for preparing plans and vertical sections from field data as required.
Responsible for the necessary survey calculations and adjustments for topographic surveys.
Maintains appropriate records of all survey operations and calculations.
Contributes to the preparation of technical reports and drafting answers to official correspondence.
Responsible for the correct use and upkeep of surveying instruments.
Carries out related subsidiary and ancillary tasks within the normal flexibility of the job.
Assists in the planning of work commitments and in the preparation of cost estimates of survey works.
Successful candidates must be in possession of the following:
Qualifications and Experience;
Secondary level of education with 4 `O` level passes; including Maltese and/or English, and Mathematics;
Suitable post-secondary technical qualification in Land Surveying or Draughting.
Two years of working experience in Surveying and/or Mapping.
