Our client a well; established company within the furniture Industry is seeking a Warehouse - Logistics Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the logistics department with regards to the policies and procedures
  • To supervise the department that handles the planning of deliveries and step in when employees are absent. 
  • Monitor and ensure that all goods are delivered to clients when they arrive in the stores or that clients are charged storage fees when they delay delivery.
  • Monitor the loading and unloading of goods as they leave/arrive in the stores.
  • Be available for any queries/problems solving that the deliverymen may have/require when on-site at clients.
  • Working closely with the store supervisor to discuss matters as required, plan and resolve issues as they arise and be aware of the policies and procedures followed by him.
  • Monitor work being performed and re-schedule work as and when needed.
  • You would take an interest in gaining knowledge on how the products are manufactured/produced and repaired to be able to guide staff accordingly when needed and be in a position to order raw materials as and when they need arises.
  • To source suppliers and keep monitoring prices/value from different suppliers to make the best choices for the company as well as keep in touch with current market trends.
  • Monitor the production schedule to ensure items are produced in time for the delivery dates promised to customers.
  • Supervise the work/schedules of all the staff in these departments
  • Handle/supervise internal repairs and maintenance needs of the company.
  • ​Work closely with all other departments in the company to ensure there is a flow of communication and paperwork.

  • You will have a pleasant personality, with a dynamic and hands-on approach
  • You will thrive and enjoy working in a successful and progressive organisation.
  • Excellent command of Maltese & English
  • Good command of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Previous experience in an administrative role is also important
  • Be diligent and can work on your own initiative
  • Good knowledge of the logistics in Malta
  • Be highly organised
  • Currently living n Malta

    Working hours: 7:30am – 4pm (full time).
