Supply Chain Officer

Our client within the Healthcare Industry is looking to expand their team and are seeking a Supply Chain Officer. This role involves managing the ordering and follow-up of materials used in the production process, maintaining and updating procurement records, and coordinating logistics for imports and exports.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of materials required for production.
• Monitor and follow up on purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate purchasing documentation.
• Coordinate and oversee import/export logistics.
• Handle shipping documentation and ensure compliance with safety and SOP requirements.
• Occasionally work within a controlled warehouse environment using personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• A diploma-level qualification or Advanced Level education with relevant experience in the supply chain sector.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Maltese is considered an asset.
• Solid understanding of import/export processes and ability to manage shipment documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in paperwork and communication with third parties.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and/or SAP is an advantage.
• Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and handling of dangerous goods shipments is desirable.
• Highly self-motivated with a keen eye for detail.
