Supply Chain Manager

United Equipment Co. Ltd. (UNEC Co. Ltd.) in Malta is a market leader in the supply of special equipment to the Transport, Construction, and logistics/Warehousing businesses and plant equipment for industries and businesses in general. Being the official representatives of prestigious brands such as DAF, Caterpillar, Cummins, Hyster, and Ingersoll Rand amongst others. The company is seeking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Supply Chain Manager to join our growing team.

Responsibilities: 

• Leading a small team of purchasing and warehousing professionals, the chosen candidate will be responsible to manage the forecasting/planning of all sourcing of Spare Parts & Consumables, delivery functions, inbound logistics, stock management, and supplier negotiations and achieve related predefined KBI’s.
• Working closely with all internal departments to understand and pre-empt demand fluctuations to avoid out-of-stock situations and obsolescence.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
• Follow both local and global supply and demand issues affecting the company’s lines of business and incorporate them accordingly in sourcing strategies and plans.
• Ensure documents (PO, GRNs, Invoices, etc..) are processed in a timely manner.
• To ensure orders are processed in a timely manner to meet customer expectations.
• Stay abreast of related legislation and customs procedures.
• Ensure good warehousing practices are implemented at all times.
• Ensure EHS and other company policies are implemented at all times.

• Have a background in procurement and logistics. Experience within a similar industry would be considered an asset.
• Be self-driven, service-oriented, and target driven.
• Be able to communicate in both Maltese and English.
• Have experience working with an ERP system.
• Be able to work proficiently with Microsoft Excel.
