The Role
You will report into theChief Executive Officer in the absence of a General Manager
You will be responsible for Warehouse, Distribution, and Production Planning including: Warehouse Manager, Distribution Manager, Distribution Executives, Logistics Executives, Logistics Administrators, Dispatchers, Inventory Clerks, Warehouse Coordinators, Checkers, Kitters, VNA Drivers, Forklift Drivers, Truck Drivers, Helpers, Labourers, Cleaners, Internal Drivers & Internal Helpers, Self Employed Drivers & Helpers and Production Planner
You will be responsible of all supply chain management functions within the company
The main areas of focus are; the effective implementation of the Company’s Management Systems, HR, EHS, GMP, stock control, resource planning, picking efficiency, picking accuracy, distribution efficiency, and non-delivery minimisation.
The Supply Chain Manager is required to operate within the framework of policies, objectives and budgets established by the General Manager
The overall job scope is to lead the Department in ensuring optimal return on investment, fulfilling the Company’s obligations to its various stakeholders, including owners, employees, suppliers and customers
You will plan and develop and direct the implementation of business strategy within the departments managed in order to meet criteria set by the Chief Executive Officer in the absence of a General Manager
You will develop and review the annual business plans, budgets and Key Business Indicators, monitoring their progress and implementation to ensure that targets and strategic objectives as set by the Chief Executive Officer
To ensure that current, accurate and relevant data is readily available to support and document decision-making processes. Defines requirements for development and enhancement of all operational systems. Oversees the production of reports, statistics and related information for review of the Chief Executive Officer
To plan, develop and implement an HR strategy with the Human Resources Manager creating the necessary HR structure to ensure the requirement and retention of the required numbers and types of well-motivated, trained and developed employees to ensure that the Company achieves its mission and objectives
To ensure that Distribution employees are appropriately trained in Customer Care and that they conduct themselves in line with Company regulations.
To ensure that cleaning procedures and a monitoring program for distribution vehicles, VNA’s, forklift trucks and palletisers are developed and implemented effectively.
To ensure that all goods entering and leaving the warehouse are accounted for as per Company procedures.
To implement a stock variance monitoring program and take adequate actions to minimise variance below established KPI targets.
To monitor product inventory levels, age, condition and available sales/production data to ensure product is available when and where needed to
