Our clients are a leading construction group in Malta. Due to ongoing company growth, they are looking for a detail-orientated and driven Supply Chain and Purchasing Manager to add to their team at their Ta’Qali office in a full-time role.
The responsibilities of this role may include, but are not limited to:
Source, negotiate, and manage the shipping of key materials at a competitive price
Develop a good relationship with new and existing suppliers
Review current processes and procedures, developing new ones when necessary.
Issue tenders and quote requests for a variety of products and consumables
Conduct evaluation of procurement processes and products
Review stock levels and order productions accordingly
Manage the purchasing team
Undertake recruitment, oversee training schedules, and carry out performance reviews
Ensure paperwork is in order and prepare reports for senior management
Applicants will have:
Experience in a similar role
An understanding of the construction industry
Knowledge of the products and/or services available on the market
Knowledge of competitors’ activities and pricing strategies
Commercial and business awareness
Financial skills and Analytical skills
The ability to adapt to different client needs and varying situations
Written and verbal communication skills in Maltese and English
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Good time management
The ability to work under pressure (i.e.demanding targets and tight deadlines)
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
The ability to persuade, influence, negotiate and network successfully
A results-driven approach and paying attention to details
