Our client is looking to employ a Stores Manager who would report directly to the Director of Procurement and Supply Chain. Your responsibilities would include but not limited to: 

  • Supervising the procurement and supply chain function to maximise efficiency and providing an outstanding service ti the operations team
  • The development of the procurement function, coordination of the procurement team, and backup for the procurement management team as needed
  • Liaising with different teams and departments and providing an excellent customer service 
  • Developing databases/data structures as necessary to ensure information gathered from the procurement function can be structured and can serve as a tool throughout the companies entities and as a means of standardisation
  • Negotiating contracts and other supply agreements with suppliers as needed. Working internally with the storekeeping function to make sure that requested inputs and data are provided
  • Ensuring that procurement records and documentation are maintained and reviewing data structures with a view to establishing improved systems
  • Stores Management is inclusive of
    • Supervision of staff and their work, as well as of stock and storage of goods.
    • Development of stores SOPs.
    • Management of top level store space distribution.
    • Liaison with any main stores, logistics partners, and management to ensure that store efficiency is improved where possible, personnel are liaising between themselves and their supervisors efficiently, and workload is shared where required)
  • Being responsible to manage the team's human resources, which includes performance management, employee training and development, and keeping up with any relevant changes to standards, best practises, and applicable laws
  • Carrying out any additional tasks, such as those at other locations, as assigned by the director of procurement or the company
  • Performing any other duties including in other sites as indicated by the Director of Procurement or Company

Working hours are from Monday to Friday normal office hours. 

Skill-sets and Requirements
  • Native command of English and Maltese both written and spoken
  • Supervisory and Leadership skills as well as proven experience
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Be analytical and problem solvers
Education & Experience
  • MQF level 7 in Commerce, Business Enterprise, Procurement or Significant experience in a similar position
  • Experience in a similar setting would be ideal
