We are seeking to recruit a highly enthusiastic and talented individual, who thrives working within a dynamic team, to join our Supply Chain Department in the role of Stores Manager.
Reporting into the Purchasing Manager, the Stores Manager will oversee the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements.
Duties:
Maintain adequate supplies of parts and materials to meet production requirements.
Issue parts, materials and equipment from stores as required,
Receive replacement stocks of parts, materials and equipment’s ensuring that these are correct in terms of number and specification
Maintain up to date records of all stocks movements to ensure that optimum stock levels are maintained
Carry out regular stock checks to ensure that adequate supplies are maintained.
Reorder stock as required to ensure that the optimum levels of required parts, materials and equipment are maintained,
Maintain a tidy, safe, and efficient stores and mixing environment.
Maintain contact with relevant departments to ensure that stock items and stock levels are appropriate to their requirements.
Direct and control the use of the stores to ensure that maximum use of available space and ensuing an efficient operation which meets the business needs.
Carry out projects to improve operation effectiveness.
Direct and control staff to ensure that they are appropriately trained and motivated and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
Maintain all necessary records related to the materials operations.
Overseeing the mixing and distribution of plastics, ensuring consistency with production requirements and quality standards.
Coordinating with suppliers, managing communication, and actively following up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and alignment with operational needs.
Acting as a liaison between departments, supporting collaboration and workflow efficiency—particularly serving as a key link between the purchasing team.
Qualifications and Requirements:
5 years of experience in materials management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
In possession of an MQF Level 5 qualification.
Knowledge of inventory management.
Familiarity with ERP systems
Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Competencies in data entry, analysis and management.
