Purchasing Manager (North of Malta)

Our client is one of the leading companies in Malta.  As they are growing, they would like to employ a Purchasing Manager to join their team

Purchasing Manager

• You will be the first point of contact for internal departments to see what is required, ensure that everything is in stock for a smooth operation and all is within agreed budget
• You will handle all supplier relationships to ensure that contracts are in place and enforced whilst ensuring the best pricing for products purchased
• Ensure that sound purchasing policies, systems and procedures are in place and within company standards
• Create ongoing monitoring of suppliers to ensure that quality, service and price are in line with company policies
• Will obtain various quotations on purchasing at certain intervals to always ensure optimal price and service
• You will be reporting into senior management

• Strong negotiating and closing skills required
• Ability to evaluate legal and business risks when considering and signing documents
• Have at least 3 years similar experience in Purchasing preferably in the hospitality industry

• Be a graduate or have a diploma in business studies &/or purchasing and supply chain
