Our client is one of the leading companies in Malta. As they are growing, they would like to employ a Purchasing Manager to join their team
Purchasing Manager
You will be the first point of contact for internal departments to see what is required, ensure that everything is in stock for a smooth operation and all is within agreed budget
You will handle all supplier relationships to ensure that contracts are in place and enforced whilst ensuring the best pricing for products purchased
Ensure that sound purchasing policies, systems and procedures are in place and within company standards
Create ongoing monitoring of suppliers to ensure that quality, service and price are in line with company policies
Will obtain various quotations on purchasing at certain intervals to always ensure optimal price and service
You will be reporting into senior management
Skill-sets and Requirements
Strong negotiating and closing skills required
Ability to evaluate legal and business risks when considering and signing documents
Have at least 3 years similar experience in Purchasing preferably in the hospitality industry
Education & Experience
Be a graduate or have a diploma in business studies &/or purchasing and supply chain
