Procurement Specialist

Our client is an international company who is seeking to recruit a Procurement Specialist to join their growing team.

The Role 
 

• Negotiate with vendors for the purchase of materials, supplies and equipment used by the company
• Negotiate with vendors for the best possible price and service guarantee
• Create purchase orders with individual conditions
• Authorize Purchase orders according to the Management rules and 4-Eyes Principle
• Purchase order execution control
• Follow up on receipt of goods
• Confirm the delivery of goods in system 
• Reports on the warranty period in system
• Reconcile all documents associated with orders placed to ensure accuracy
• Assist accounting department in establishing account/credit and terms
• Assist in coordinating logistics as it concerns the purchasing function
• Assist Customs department with export documents
• Archive documents, maintain positive relationship with vendors 
• Negotiate and conclude Sales and Purchase Agreements with Customers 
• Prepare technical specifications with scope of supply under Sales Agreements
• Communicate with Customers (production, maintenance, and stores) to ensure proper part type and quantity are ordered
• Control over payments received from the Customers
• Control over the status of project progress
• Collect all data required for customs (flowsheets, technical descriptions, manuals, etc.)
• Assist Customs department with import documents

Experience & Qualifications 

• Have a minimum of 2 years experience in this field
• Have strong IT skills especially excel
• Preferably have related qualifications
• Knowledge of the German Language will be considered as an asset
