Our client, a group of companies within the aviation industry, is recruiting for a Flight Planning and Scheduling officer to maximize return and aircraft utilization by optimizing flight timings and fleet deployment to align with
customers demand and aircraft performance. Reporting to the Planning and Scheduling Manager, your duties will include;

  • Maximising aircraft utilisation accordingly to commercial requirements
  • Work with internal stakeholders to regularly review route performance as it relates to flight timings and the overall schedule product.
  • Make adjustments to the schedules as required to continually improve on the financial return, taking into account the different traffic segments (point to point, connecting) on each route
  • Ensure all relevant updates surrounding all planning connected information and documents are given to all relevant parties in the Company and the Group.
  • Develop and implement effective business administration and function management for the Network Planning department.
  • Obtaining traffic rights, slots and all necessary commercial permits to ensure the smooth operation for the group’s activity.
  • Manage the airline’s portfolio of slots. Actively work on continued slot optimization with relevant slot coordination authorities to match evolving schedule requirements
  • Ensure all information in connection with the schedule planning is communicated in accordance with the Company and the Group’s regulations.
  • Co-ordinate the group’s planned schedule with stakeholders within and outside the group.
  • Develop and implement actions for reduction of operational costs of the group.
  • Independently make decisions on the group's commercial planning activity within the scope of his/her authorities
  • Support and advise Head of Network Planning and VP Commercial on ad hoc projects
Skill-sets and Requirements
  • Previous experience in Network/Flight planning and Scheduling is a must
  • Ability to work well with different levels of leadership
  • Strong presentation and verbal skills with the ability to deliver arguments clearly and confidently
  • Be able to work independently within a fast paced, target driven environment
  • Commercial orientation and experience liaising with clients
  • Fluent in English
Education & Experience
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (Transportation / Economics, Operations Research, Business Administration, Science & Engineering)
