Logistics Operations Clerk

Lidl in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Logistics Operations Clerk to join their team on a full/part-time basis.

Job Role:
In the role of Logistics Operations Clerk, you will work in an environment full of new exciting challenges, within a varied and dynamic team. Thanks to your contribution, we can guarantee the correct and timely distribution of our products in the shops.

We are currently looking for new employees, offering different types of contracts to suit your needs (part-time and full-time).

What you'll do:

• Administrative duties related to the incoming goods, preparation of orders and the distribution of orders into outlets
• Liaison with other roles within the Logistics Centre to ensure the smooth running of the daily operations
• Ensure readily prepared orders for our outlets are allocated correctly on loading bays, including the physical movement of pallets with the right handling equipment
• Qualitative and quantitative control of the incoming and outgoing goods
• Help to maintain and upkeep the Logistics Centre
• Support and develop activities related to the Warehouse inventory.

What you'll need:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• The flexibility to work on different shifts including night shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Willingness to learn, ability to work both independently and as a team, always ensuring high-quality standards
• Attention to detail and precision
• Fluent knowledge of the English language is a must
• Knowledge of the Maltese and/or Italian languages will be considered an asset
• Good knowledge of Excel and MS Office package
• Willingness to work in an environment where you will be required to drive electric goods handling equipment after training has been given.

Remuneration:

• Different options of contract are available: full-time, 40 hours per week, organised on 5 days (8 hours per day) or part-time, of a minimum of 25 hours per week, organised on 5 days (5 hours per day)
• Basic salary: starting from €7,94 per hour
• Any minutes worked over 40 hours per week are paid at time and a half
• Sundays and public holidays are paid at double rate
• Night shift allowance when applicable
