SR Technics in Malta is looking to recruit a Head of Supply Chain to join their team on a full-time basis. 

Job Role: 
The Head of Supply Chain leads & manages his/her department to achieve effective cross-functional working within, the capability of achieving their objectives whilst integrating with respective peer group teams to deliver operational excellence while having control of the assigned budget in line with the business plan.
 
Supply Chain organisation department is composed of; Goods Receiving, Warehouse Packaging & Dispatch, Material Services, Material Coordination, Material Procurement, and Material Planning, all ultimately reporting to this function.
 
A position that will be accountable for delivering an effective Supply Chain, ensuring the highest level of Safety and Quality, whilst optimizing the operational costs. The incumbent would be expected to implement and sustain Continuous Improvement Culture.

Your tasks:
  • To promote a positive Safety Culture and to ensure that Safety and Quality Policy is communicated/promoted and implemented within the Organization.
  • To ensure that all elements of the SMS are properly implemented, maintained and continuously improved by fulfilling all SMS related duties and responsibilities as defined in SMS Manual.
  • Guarantee quality of workmanship in accordance with all applicable SRT and authorities’ rules and regulations at all times.
  • Actively manage the departments performance to achieve operational and financial excellence.
  • Maintenance check material provisioning, including AOG when required within the agreed time (on time delivery), quality, and cost (at economic conditions).
  • Deliver strategic warehousing, storage, transportation, and logistics solutions.
  • Accountable for negotiation and management of Supply Chain contracts, and consignment stock deals in the area of responsibility.
  • Manage relationships and act as a point of escalation for issues, both operational and commercial, with key suppliers.
  • Develop communication strategies while managing relationships with all departments and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Define and agree on appropriate service level agreements with suppliers.
  • Target and performance-oriented personnel management.
  • Actively manage human resources to ensure the availability of skills to meet demand at all times.
  • Recruiting, training, advancement, and development of the person directly responsible for actively developing human talents in the organisation.
  • Drive performance culture through periodic target setting and regular structured follow-up with all direct reports.
  • Manage active the inventory in accordance with BU targets.
  • Implement and ensure Lean / Continuous Improvement culture.
  • Lead with example.

Your profile:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical / Engineering / Business administration / Logistics is desirable.
  • Management-related course.
  • Fluency in English language.
  • Extensive knowledge of aviation regulations (EASA Part 145, Part 147, Part 66, Part 21, Part M) and other regulations related regulations.
  • Excellent Leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
