Our client is one of the leading aviation companies in Malta and is currently seeking to engage a Head of Supply Chain Manager
The Role
Reporting to the Vice President you will be responsible for supply chain management functions within the company - Warehouse, Long-term Material Planning and AOG Buyers
The main areas of focus for this role are; the effective implementation of the Company’s Management Systems, ERP, resource planning, operational and cost efficiency, and minimal disruption to the production
You will manage critical vendor and partner relations to ensure the availability and cost-effectiveness of quality parts and services in support of the company’s on-time and on-budget objectives
You will manage the company’s integrated/master scheduling function to ensure product and service delivery in line with customer commitments and budgetary goals, from contract award to delivery, by establishing and monitoring cross-functional integrated schedules and performance
You will plan and develop and direct the implementation of business strategy within the departments managed in order to meet criteria set by the company
You will develop and review the annual business plans, budgets and Key Business Indicators, monitoring their progress and implementation to ensure that targets and strategic objectives as set by the company
To ensure that current, accurate and relevant data is readily available to support and document decision-making processes. Defines requirements for the development and enhancement of all operational systems. Oversees the production of reports, statistics and related information for review of the Vice President
To ensure together with the HR department that the retention of the required numbers and types of well-motivated, trained and developed employees to ensure that the Company achieves its mission and objectives
To implement a stock variance monitoring program and take adequate actions to minimise variance below established KPI targets.
To monitor product inventory levels, age, condition and available production data to ensure the service level is available when and where needed to
Skill-sets and Requirements
Fluency in the English language.
Willingness to relocate to Malta
Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels
Relevant experience in aircraft heavy maintenance procurement, and critical commodities is a must
Established development and mentoring skills for peers and subordinates
Education & Experience
Extensive knowledge of aviation regulations (EASA Part 145 and M)
A solid technical background preferably with a technical degree coupled with 7+ years of related experience in a similar position.
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outloo
