Customs Clearance Clerk

The Customs Clearance Clerk is responsible for ensuring all paperwork is accurately and thoroughly completed for the clearance of goods entering and leaving the country. The Customs Clearance Clerk will be required to manage their own paperwork and ensure it is filed away in an organised and timely manner. Must also ensure that payments to Customs are reconciled.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is accurately and thoroughly completed for the clearance of goods entering and leaving the country
- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that all necessary paperwork is obtained and processed in a timely manner
- Ensure that all paperwork is filed away in an organised manner
- Liaise with customs and other government agencies to ensure that all necessary procedures are followed when processing the clearance of goods
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to ensure that they are aware of the documentation required to complete the customs clearance process
- Ensure that all duties and taxes are accurately calculated and paid in accordance with relevant regulations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant customs regulations and procedures
- Any other duties as requested by the Brokerage Manager.
Requirements:
- Experience will be considered as an asset.
