Merlin Library - Audio Visual Centre Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit an Assistant Storekeeper to join their team on a full-time basis.
To be considered for this role, candidates applying must have:
- A valid work permit and living in Malta
- Possess a valid driving license
- Fluent in Maltese and English
- Computer literate.
Job role:
The Assistant Storekeeper will be responsible to keep all stocks in an orderly fashion at all times in order to maximize space, be in control of stock availability and consequently be efficient.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- To keep all stocks in order at all times
- Keep stocks in a neat and orderly manner
- Optimize shelf space
- Shelf returns
- Check and price new consignments received.
Stock Control:
- Identify which books are selling more than others in order to advise on reorders
- Do stock takes when required and compare them to stock quantities in the Inventory System.
Sales:
- Prepare orders
- Prepare selection of books for events and book fairs
- Invoice books and raise credit notes when required
- Help with deliveries.
Clearing and forwarding:
- Clear consignments by checking the quantities of books received against the publisher's invoice and marking the invoice clearly
- Make sure all books are in good condition when received from the publisher
- Do Direct Receipts
- Manage Customer Order Module
- Enter deliveries in the delivery log.
