Assistant Purchasing Manager

AX The Palace in Malta is looking to recruit an Assistant Purchasing Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. 

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Purchasing Manager and assisting in organizing and supervising purchasing functions, managing daily activities in purchasing, including day-to-day and project purchases.

Responsibilities:

• Handling and managing all stores
• Dealing with suppliers/receiving area
• Day to day purchases
• Stocktaking
• Keeping in line with all HACCP criteria
• Assisting the Purchasing Manager in other purchasing functions.

Requirements:

• Materials control knowledge
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
• A hotel background will be considered an asset
• Driving licence
• Strong leadership skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Able to work in a team.
