About Technology:
Technology is at the core of the knowledge-based organization. It enables MFSA's strategic and operational objectives to be achieved efficiently and effectively.

The Technology team is made up of professionals specialized in relevant areas that include governance and planning, information systems, information security, technology operations, and service management. Officials from Technology also participate and give their contribution to several European committees, expert groups, and industry fora.

The Role:
The selected candidate will undertake duties in relation to applications administration, systems analysis, systems configuration, and application testing. The job involves direct interaction with the technical team and designated business users.

The primary job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform Microsoft SharePoint Configuration & Administration;
  • Perform Microsoft SharePoint API Integrations and Work Flow Administration and Development;
  • Perform SQL Administration and be conversant in the usage of Third Party Apps such as Industry used Collaborative Tools and Source Code Management;
  • Application administration, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise information systems;
  • Implement software solutions;
  • Writing and interpreting business requirements/documentation;
  • Reporting on common sources of technical issues or questions and making recommendations to stakeholders;
  • Performing systems analysis whenever required;
  • Contribute to tender writing and evaluation whenever required;
  • Assist in other tasks as directed by Team Leader(s).

About You:
We are looking for candidates with a solid foundation in information and communication technologies, having a related degree at MQF level 6, and must have a professional background of at least eight (8) years in applications administration and/or technical project management and/or software quality assurance. You would also ideally have had some previous working experience in enterprise-level information systems.

As a seasoned professional, the selected candidate is expected to have strong knowledge of IT planning, business continuity, cloud platforms, and services such as AWS and/or Azure. You would be expected to be very conversant with technologies, project management, and the administration/maintenance of various third-party software.  This includes experience in the administration of Microsoft SharePoint, SQL Server, and other third-party software used for Code Repositories, Collaborative tools such as Jira/Confluence and other application administration tools will be considered an asset.

If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications, but you have at least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you.

The ideal candidate should have:
  • Have a strong business orientation with a demonstrated knowledge of the IT industry.
  • Can communicate with and understand the needs of non-technical internal and external clients.
  • Strong customer focus and knowledge of IT Service Management standards and procedures.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have good written and verbal skills and a proven ability to work on my own initiative with great attention to detail.
  • Has the ability to work within a team, multitask, and be capable of meeting strict deadlines.
  • Has the ability to listen actively and to work on their own initiative when necessary.
  • The ability to work under pressure and able to respond to emergencies after hours.
  • Must be fluent in the English language.
