.Net Developer

A well-established company in Malta is looking for a .NET Developer to join their team. As a .NET Developer, you will be involved in design, development, coding, customization, configuration, testing, and deployment in support of their enterprise solutions. The selected candidate must have sound knowledge of VB.NET or C#, preferably in VB.NET.  Knowledge of both languages would be considered an Asset.

Requirements:

• You will be required to upgrade, deploy and support existing applications, both remote and onsite.
• Enhance existing systems and identifying areas for modification and improvement;
• Support and develop existing BI Reports using Power BI;
• Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to ASP.NET, SQL Server, Firebird, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C# / VB.NET;
• Prepare and maintain code for various .NET applications and resolve any defects in systems;
• Manage and resolve all issues and prepare the update for systems;
• Investigate and develop skills in new technologies;
• Create technical specifications and test plans;
• Monitor the everyday activities of the system and provide the required support.

• Previous experience of design and / or development experience with VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, Windows Forms and SQL Server in an n-tier architecture;
• Background in object-oriented development techniques;
• Database design and development (Microsoft SQL Server);
• Experience with Web services, API development;
• Understanding of software development life cycle;
• Ability to speak and write fluently in English;
• An overall positive and can-do attitude towards work;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Able to work on own initiative and in a team
• Keep up to date with related legislation;
