DevOps Engineer

River Tech Malta is looking to recruit a DevOps Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis.

Requirements:
Must-Have:

• Knowledge of how a version control system works;
• Knowledge in how web servers work, CDNs and reverse proxies;
• Experience with one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure, IBM);
• Good Linux server knowledge – Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, CentOS; 
• Good knowledge of Bash and shell scripting; 
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and tooling that goes with it (Circle CI, TeamCity, GitHub Actions, Octopus, Jenkins, etc.); 
• Infrastructure as code tooling (ex: Terraform, Ansible);
• Experience with a log collection stack (ELK, Datadog, Splunk);
• Experience in containerization technologies; 
• Experience in managing and deploying applications and services with Kubernetes;
• Experience in managing Kubernetes clusters (on-premise or hosted) and distributions. 

Plus:

• Worked with distributed systems before; 
• Certification with one of the major cloud platforms; 
• Background in software development languages like NodeJS, C#, GoLang; 
• Best practices in securing Web and Restful APIs (WAF);
• Experience using Grafana, Prometheus, and ElasticSearch;
• Good understanding of MySql/MariaDB, PostgreSQL databases; 
• Understanding and diagnosing issues from application logs.
