Application Integration Engineer

A leading Bank in Malta is seeking to employ an Application Integration Engineer to join their team. The selected candidate must be able to work on their own initiative with a can-do attitude and able to work in a team.  

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and manage an Enterprise Service Bus and an API Management Layer 
• To analyze, design, and implement system integrations based on the business needs, 
• Liaise with the system analysts to ensure compliance with business requirements and agreed specifications.
• Research alternative methods and keep up-to-date with the industry standards to achieve, monitor, and maintain system integrations. 
• Provide second-line and third-line support about integrations between different solutions.
• Review the design of software programs and software program modifications from supplied specifications, using agreed standards and tools in accordance with the design.
• Assist his/her line manager to guide, manage, supervise, mentoring and providing direction to the Systems Integration Team.
• Assisting the line manager to prepare, monitor, and control the team’s development plans.
• Ensure that all tasks and procedures are carried out efficiently and effectively to the agreed timelines and quality.
• To ensure alignment with the application architecture of the Bank.
• Submit any reports and/or supervise activities as may be directed from time to time.
• To actively participate in the Enterprise IT Architecture Working Group.
• To perform any duties that may be assigned to him/her from line management from time to time.
•  The candidate must also be willing to work on call and travel on occasion to attend training/conferences or manage supplier relations.

• Have four years’ working experience in a software development environment and strong knowledge of C#, VB.NET, XML and SQL Server 2008 R2/2014, RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services.
• Have experience in contributing in designing and implementing Enterprise architecture.
• Able to utilise Microsoft SQL and Oracle DBMS, various connectivity solutions (i.e. FTP/Secure FTP and Webfolders).
• Good grasp of integrating Cloud plug-ins

• Possess a degree/diploma in IT or Computer Science
• Certified Integration Architect
