Maintenance Technician

Job Description
Ably Resources Limited in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician to join their client's team on a full-time basis.

About our Client:
Our Client is a prestigious group of hotels with a requirement for a Maintenance Technician to be based primarily in one of their high-profile Sliema properties.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting regular inspections for defects in building services, plant, equipment, installations, etc., and keeping appropriate records
• Conducting tests on building services, equipment, and installations including the use of test equipment
• Performing preventive maintenance work and carrying out the necessary modifications on building services, equipment, installations, appliances, tools, etc.
• Attending to faults and breakdowns of building services, equipment, installations, appliances, etc.
• Carrying out fault identifications and localization and subsequent repair works on building services, equipment, installations, appliances, etc.
• Examining drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications to determine the appropriate method and subsequence of operations
• Operating and maintaining all machinery and equipment
• Supervising contractors’ personnel carrying out maintenance, servicing, or installation works, and ensuring work is carried out to standards acceptable by the company
• Performing technical support to assist with the design, development, installation, operation, and maintenance of building services, equipment, installations, etc.
• Ensuring that all operational, safety and security standards and regulations established by the company are adhered to at all times
• Providing support to the rest of the staff of the Maintenance department as required.

Requirements:

• Possess Wireman License A
• Be well organized and dedicated to record keeping
• Be capable of working on all kitchen appliances including refrigeration and electrical equipment
• Possess knowledge of plant room (preferable but not essential)
• Demonstrate fluency in English (written and spoken) and have excellent communication skills
• Be available to work on a rota basis which will include weekends and public holidays.
