Installer (UPVC and Aluminium Apertures and Structures)

Job Description
Andrew Vassallo General Trading in Malta is looking to recruit an Installer (UPVC and Aluminium Apertures and Structures) to join their team on a full-time basis. 

Key Responsibility:
To install or repair structures and apertures at clients’ premises according to customer specifications in an efficient and effective manner and ensure that clients’ property is not damaged.

Job Duties:

• Checking of job sheets with team leader;
• Install or repair structures (including doors and apertures) as instructed by the Manager, while using an efficient and effective process, on-site in the specified times and periods;
• Ensure that promised target dates for completion are achieved on all jobs. Special care and focus are expected on sensitive projects such as tenders due to penalties that may be incurred by the company if deadlines and quality standards are not respected;
• Check the quality of produced products prior to loading on delivery vans. Nonconformities are to be reported to the production team and Manager immediately for rectification;
• Checking any miscellaneous objects required are taken for installations;
• Ensure that clients are notified before leaving for installation;
• Ensure delivery is made efficiently and in a safe manner to upkeep the quality;
• Ensure that products installed are of high quality and according to customer requirements and job sheets;
• Report any damaged product or anything that is out-of-spec before leaving the client premises. It is expected that ad hoc repairs/interventions are done at the client’s premises if these can be solved on-site;
• Ensure that customer property, including buildings and furnishings, is protected and not damaged. In case of involuntary damage, this should be immediately reported to management;
• Ensure that the relevant Feedback Form is filled in by the client in order to obtain the customer perception and confirmation of completed works;
• Follow attentively management drawings, sketches, and instructions to ensure that the final product achieves customer expectations;
• Escalate potential issues to superiors in order to clarify and resolve issues before they become problems;
• Maintain a flexible attitude and make oneself available to longer working hours, as necessitated, for successful job completion;
• Report personal or inter-personal concerns to management to try and find an effective way of doing things;
• Communicate effectively with your colleagues and manager;
• Fill in the production records effectively and record precisely the times and jobs done during the day;
• Ensure good upkeeping of van and tools provided by the company;
• Strictly adhere to established Health & Safety policies and rules in order to safeguard personal and fellow colleague’s health and safety at all times;
• Preserve and protect all company equipment and tools and report any damages immediately to manger;
• Minimise water and energy consumption when not needed;
• Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times;
• Maintain a positive attitude and employ the best behaviour at the workplace. Report any bullying or untoward behaviour immediately. Assume passive reactions at all times and avoid conflict;
• Assume other tasks or jobs that may be assigned by management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must be well organised and punctual;
• Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English;
• Candidate must have basic knowledge in mathematics;
• Candidate must have clean conduct;
• Candidate must be able to work on his own initiative and without supervision;
• Candidate must be able to work at heights;
• Candidate must have Driving Licence type B;
• Proper training will be given to the chosen candidate.
