Industrial Plumber

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Plumber with strong pipe-fitting expertise and hands-on experience in plant room installations and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial piping systems, valves, pumps, and other mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Duties include and may be limited to:

• Install, repair, and maintain industrial and commercial piping systems including copper, steel, and PVC piping;
• Carry out plant room installations including pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and associated systems;
• Fit and assemble pipe sections using tools such as pipe threaders, benders, and welding equipment;
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan piping layouts and system routes;
• Install and connect mechanical equipment to water and steam systems;
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical systems in plant rooms;
• Ensure systems are leak-free and operate at optimal performance by conducting pressure tests and inspections;
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently;
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site;
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an industrial plumber and pipe fitter, preferably in large commercial or industrial settings;
• Strong knowledge of plant room systems and mechanical piping installations;
• Skilled in using hand and power tools relevant to the plumbing and mechanical trade;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills;
• Excellent Maltese and English communication skills
