As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible to install, maintain and conduct troubleshooting methods both within the foodservice and industrial machinery, in-house and at customers premises.
Good refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation knowledge
Skills related to the trade such as piping, pressure testing, evacuation and ventilation, brazing of copper
Ability to replace/maintain any part related to the refrigeration system
Ability to perform proper welding/brazing of pipes
Ability to vacuum, pressure and recuperate gas from a system also to test the same
Understanding of principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating types whilst performing a system fill up and fine-tune
Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems
Being able to mechanically replace parts within the system
Electrical
Being able to understand and follow wiring diagrams
Recognising the electrical components within the system not limited to refrigeration systems only
Being able to work on a low and medium voltage, up to 415V 3ph
Being able to mechanically replace parts within the system
Gas
Basic understanding of gas in a cooking setup
Fault finding the whole system including compressors and valves
Being able to mechanically replace parts within the system
