AX Hotels in Malta is looking to recruit a General Maintenance to join their team on a full-time basis.
Job Summary:
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Maintenance Manager, and within the limits of the established hotel policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
To liaise with the Maintenance Manager regarding work orders and prioritize in order of guest satisfaction
Maintain the hotel in your qualified trade to the desired standard
To daily inspect and rectify all public areas
Assist the Maintenance Manager with the design of a preventative maintenance program as required
Use initiative and foresight to undertake tasks outlined within the preventative maintenance program without the direction of the Maintenance Manager
Be able to show flexibility to change the schedule in light of guest priorities
Carry out general building minor maintenance repairs
Carry out minor tiling or plumbing as directed
Carry out any minor repairs to guest rooms or public areas
Ensure plant rooms are checked and cleaned and are in operating order
Carry dect phone and respond to requests from departments regarding minor maintenance issues throughout the shift
To attend and investigate faults and breakdowns of building services, equipment, installations, appliances, etc.
Requirements:
A good standard of education
Fluent in English
Excellent grooming standards
Has a natural flair and confidence to speak to guests
Able to work on his/her own initiative
Willing to work flexible hours
Able to work with shifts on a seven-day schedule
Previous working experience in a similar environment will be considered an advantage
