Are you an experienced Facilities Manager seeking a dynamic opportunity to make a significant impact?

Melita is seeking a proficient Facilities Manager to take the reins in managing the operational efficiency of our company's premises. As a crucial member of our team, you will leverage your experience in facilities management to further optimise our facilities function. Your primary focus will be on creating an environment that not only meets but exceeds the safety and comfort expectations of both our valued employees and clients. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive efficiency improvements while upholding the highest professional standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage improvement projects, including permitting, timing plans, financial estimates, coordination with internal/ external support teams from conception to completion, whilst ensuring compliance with regulations and directives of government regulatory agencies

• Supervise and/ or manage site works, technical or operational staff on tasks related to above responsibility 

• Managing the facilities operation teams including housekeeping, security, courier services and staff canteen

• Develop, implement, and manage maintenance plan schedules and processes with a variety of third-party suppliers ensuring adherence to documented SLAs

• Assistance in the preparation and management of the relative operating and capital expenditure budgets and monitoring expenses

• Negotiating services contracts to ensure a consistent, quality service is provided by our service providers

• Development and implementation of preventative and reactive maintenance, life-cycle requirements, and service level agreements

• Conduct and document regular facilities inspections to ensure the upkeep of the company’s premises, not least those related to Health and Safety, Environment, Fire and Security

• Supervise refurbishment and renovation projects and manage space for maximum efficiency

• Plan and monitor energy efficiency across all Melita’s premises

• Implement and manage processes and procedures to ensure robust 24/7 response to facilities and equipment alarms and system failures

• Preventive & Reactive Maintenance of all facility services (Electrical, HVAC, access control, CCTV, fire doors, security gates and parking management system) 

• Maintain and manage all critical equipment for office and shops (Switching Rooms, Electrical, Networking, HVAC etc.)

Specific Skills & Experience required for the role:

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Ability to solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context

• Ability to maintain SLAs through the implementation of pre-emptive problem identification

• Experience in project management; develop project plans, track progress and manage expectations

• Knowledge of and experience in building services, maintenance, and property management

• Competent user of MS office applications incl. Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Respect for Health, Safety & Environmental aspects

• Experience in communicating with people at all levels as an expert as well as excellence in stakeholder management with an elevated level of integrity
