Assistant Security Guard

A vacancy has arisen for the position of Assistant Security Guard within Simonds Farsons Cisk plc. Reporting to the Health & Safety, Security Manager, the selected candidate will initially be required to work on a day-work basis from Monday to Friday. The role involves safeguarding Farsons' property at all times from theft, damages, or waste by performing duties diligently and with attention.

The chosen candidate till be required to:

• Guard and operate the Main Gate House as instructed by superiors.
• Conduct patrols and perform any other work related to the Logistics Gatehouse/ Staff Entrance as indicated.
• Register any information and/or other details that are required (as per policy) when visitors, employees, vehicles and/or machinery need to enter or exit the premises.
• Ensure that the right authorisations are in place whenever Company property is required to leave the premises.
• Ensure that departments keys are kept as per company procedures.
• Make use of logbooks, emails, CCTV systems etc as stipulated by superiors and operating procedures in order to report any damages, incidents or any other irresponsible acts that may occur.
• Attend obligatory First Aid and Fire Fighting training to be able to take the necessary actions should an incident occur on Company premises that require intervention.
• Ensure that no person or vehicle enters the premises without authorisation.
• Answer incoming calls and take messages as required.
• Regulate traffic within the premises including parking areas.
• Be willing to perform ad hoc driver/messenger duties as required.
• Ensures that the regulations of the company which safeguard the security and safety of company property are adhered to.
• Carry out any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

 The selected candidate will need to:

• Be able to read and write in both Maltese & English;
• Have basic computer skills and be able to use basic Microsoft Office applications including emails;
• Have a clean Police Conduct;
• Have a valid driving licence (licence B).
