Assistant Maintenance Manager

Within this job of an Assistant Maintenance Manager you would be reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager while planning, organising and monitoring maintenance related tasks and follow up on day to day activities within the Maintenance Department. Main duties will include the following:

• Hold regular meetings with the Maintenance Manager
• Plan and finalise rosters
• Supervise works progress & quality and update work schedules as needed
• Schedule routine tasks - weekly and monthly
• Prioritise unscheduled works that arise from time to time and ensure matters are addressed within a timely manner
• Maintain detailed and timely records on works carried out
• Overlook the performance of the team - attendance, punctuality, discipline, planning of leave etc
• Motivate and ensure the team is well trained
• Ensure stock levels are adequately kept
• Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are available when needed, kept in good condition and stored safely
• Keep abreast with Health and Safety Regulations and ensuring these are enforced accordingly
• Liaise with other departments as required

Working hours - Monday to Saturday with a day off during the week (40 hour week)

• Minimum of 5 years experience within a maintenance role ideally within hospitality or domestic projects
• Minimum of 2 years experience at a team lead or supervisory position
• Good level of communication in both Maltese and English is desired (however, English is a must)
• IT Savvy - confident in using Microsoft application: Word, Excel, Data inputting, Emails
• Approachable and a leader by nature adapting a hands on approach
• Problem solver
• Organised

• Relevant trade-related qualification required
• Licence A and/or Licence B Certification preferred
• ECDL qualification ideal
