Deriv (Europe) Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Risk Advisory Executive to join their team on a full-time basis.
*Candidates being accepted for this role must have practical working knowledge of financial services compliance and operations, including the associated rules and regulations of the financial services industry.
As a Risk Advisory Executive at Deriv, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining an effective risk and control environment. You’ll develop risk models involving financial, operational, IT, legal, and strategic risks, assure controls are operating effectively, and provide research and analytical support. You’ll also share recommendations to mitigate risks and streamline controls by collaborating with departments within the organisation. The position is global in scope and requires a high level of interaction with the operations and compliance teams from our offices across the world.
Design and implement an overall risk management process for Deriv Group that analyses the company's operational and legal risk exposure worldwide.
Monitor and evaluate activities such as risk assessment, analyse risk levels of different teams and business processes, and find apt risk response strategies to avert any crisis.
Help create and implement flexible contingency plans and future strategies to address any emerging risks for the organisation’s advantage.
Evaluate the organisation’s performance to identify anomalies and recommend solutions to resolve issues.
Be up to date with the industry trends, emerging market risks, and regulatory updates to advise the management if the need arises.
Requirements:
Degree in risk management, finance, business, law, or any related field
Practical working knowledge of financial services compliance and operations, including the associated rules and regulations of the financial services industry
Strong understanding of risks, internal control, and business processes
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Meticulous, organised, and results-driven attitude
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well individually and in a team environment
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
