Network and Security Specialist

A company within the banking industry is looking to recruit a Network and Security Specialist to form part of a great team. Within this role, you will be responsible for: 

• the delivery, administration, operations and troubleshooting of Group enterprise network devices and security infrastructure;
• providing a senior point of escalation for advanced support in areas of competence;
• developing and maintaining technical documentation
• contributing to IT team objectives through subject matter expertise and support.​

• At least 4 years of working experience with IP and Internet technologies, Wired and wireless data networks, Telecoms and connectivity, Network management and performance monitoring technologies, Application security, Network Security, Endpoint and mobile security systems, Information protection and data leakage control, Software-defined security and networking in virtualised environments, Authentication platforms, and cloud security (connectivity and access)
• At least 4 years of experience working in demanding mission-critical IT environments and a strong general understanding of complex IT infrastructures
• Be a good team player
• Shows initiative and commitment
• Fluency in the English language is a must
• Willingness to work after hours should the need arises

• An engineering or IT-related degree or equivalent is desirable
• Be in possession of relevant vendor certifications in networking and security technologies
