A new opportunity for an R&D Lab Technician has arisen with a leading food manufacturing company. Reporting to the R&D Food Technologist, you will be handling the laboratory related work as well as product and process documentation. This role will also help set up the internal and external sensory panel and will start looking into consumer science.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
• Setting up and maintaining R&D laboratory with standards and processes as per company requirements.
• Responsible for setting and maintaining different sensory panels.
• Setting departmental SOPs and companywide SOPs as deemed necessary.
• Diligently and accurately weighing ingredients and preparing lab trials to support recipe development
• Proficiency in carrying out the required analyses according to standard procedures and work instructions.
• Weigh out prototypes according to instructions given, record sensory and analytical results
• Responsible for setting up and updating product and process specifications
• Responsible for carrying out research on any topic related to food science, as deemed necessary
• Responsible for all documentation and analyses related to factory trials & subsequent documentation
• Lead in preparation for tasting sessions, consumer sessions, tasting panels
