Category Product Technologist

As a Category Product Technologist you will be based in Malta and you will be responsible for developing and optimising product recipes in new product development projects while also assisting with other related projects, as well as acting as the main link to factory support on product operation level. Your duties will include the following but not limited too:

• Developing new recipes and ensuring proper capturing of project briefs, competition bench marking complying with quality, food safety, regulatory and cost requirements in line with the R&D project pipeline
• Define Manufacturing recipes, parameters, in-process control and finished product specifications to ensure a successful product launch in line with the R&D Prototype Approval
• Leading factory scale up trials and ensuring a successful outcome - testing and reporting as per standard protocols
• Specify product requirements, ensuring correct packaging identification
• Ensuring the development of new/alternate raw materials specifications while executing an alternate raw material supplier program
• Managing recipe, ingredients and process changes through the Change Control Program
• Offer technical leadership - provide technical support, keep abreast with the science industry and innovations, perform trials, develop robust product specifications and other related duties
