Shop Assistant - Wines and Spirits

Within this job as a Shop Assistant, you will be assisting customers (online or walk-ins) with there wines and spirits needs while offering an excellent customer service approach together with the rest of the team.  Your responsibilities will be:

• Attending to customers face to face with necessary information during their selection process
• Upsell or cross-sell when appropriate
• Assisting with stock - displays, deliveries, unpacking, reshelving, rotation, stock checks
• Operating the till and handling payment transactions / end of day
• Opening and closing of the shop
• Dealing with online orders - processing of sales and packaging the orders

Working Hours - Shift Roster which will include Saturdays / Day off during the week / Any overtime is paid for
 

Education & Experience

The vacancy requires:

• A’ Level standard or better is preferred
• Proven experience in retail is a must (cash handling or sales)
• Knowledge of beverages - beer, wines and spirits is seen as a major plus
• Native level of Maltese is a preferred, however, a fluency level of English is required
• Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment needed
