Job Description
The Dance Studio in Malta is looking to recruit a Salesperson to join their team on a full-time basis. 

Their Kappara shop specializes in the sale of dance shoes and dancewear, and they also stock clothes for leisure, gym fitness, and fashion.

*Candidates applying must have a valid work permit and live in Malta. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Work entails dealing with cash sales;
• Dressing mannequins;
• Changing the shop-window displays;
• Checking and pricing of stock;
• Stock-taking, and;
• Light clerical duties. 

*Training will be given for the fitting of shoes, especially pointe shoes and dancewear.

Requirements: 

• The employee must be smart, reliable, patient, willing to learn, have initiative, and have a love of sales;
• We are looking for someone who can deliver outstanding customer service and is capable of managing the daily activities required, to ensure the smooth running of the shop;
• Sales experience and a dance background would be an advantage.

Hours of work: 

• Mondays to Fridays: 09:00 AM - 13:00 PM,  16:00 PM - 19:00 PM;
• Saturdays: 09:00 AM - 13:00 PM (afternoons closed).

The Dance Studio:
In June 1990, a little shop in San Gwann, Malta, opened its doors to its first customers, proudly displaying its unusual merchandise of specialised dancewear. Furnished in custom-made furniture of dark wood highlighted with pale pink walls and curtains, it was the realisation of our dream to be able to provide dance students and teachers with all their requirements such as leotards, tights, ballet shoes, tap, and Spanish shoes, castanets, ballroom shoes – the list was endless and our efforts tireless to provide the best service possible! Ten years later and a vast stock had put a strain on the little shop and the time had come to move to larger premises in order to provide a better service. In August 2000 THE DANCE STUDIO moved to new premises in Sliema Road, Kappara, San Gwann, a bright, spacious and comfortable retail outlet on the main road of this growing town. The move enabled us to extend our range of products to include more casual and fashion wear for our increasing clientele. The best names in dancewear can be found in this shop, and no effort is spared to keep abreast of dancers’ requirements and new developments. We travel abroad regularly to visit specialised Fairs and exhibitions, as well as visiting suppliers to familiarise ourselves with the latest fabrics, innovative designs, and fashion trends. THE DANCE STUDIO is not only for dancers, however. For fitness enthusiasts there is a wide range of top-quality fitness gear such as shorts, leggings, sports bras, trousers, and jackets. Our branded leisurewear is perfect whether you are on your way to the gym or meeting your friends for coffee in town! A sideline, but a very important one, is the provision of Bridal Shoes. KATZ Bridal Shoes have become well-known for their stylish designs and comfortable fit. We provide a friendly and personal service for adults and children alike and our staff is also trained to advise on the fitting of ballet shoes and dance uniform requirements. With our 20th anniversary coming up next year, we are celebrating the launch of our website to enable customers to view a sample of our products before visiting us to purchase their requirements.
