Our client is looking to recruit a Sales Manager to join the Sales Department. Reporting to the Head of Sales you will be responsible for:
The management of already-existing customers and negotiating with them on discounts, shelf space and chiller/freezer space
The authorisation of sales orders and volume rebates for customers
The creation of a positive experience through the provision of top-tier customer service to customers via a consultative selling approach.
Leading the Sales Team
Oversee and monitor the activities and performance of the Sales team, tach sales targets and taking corrective measurements when needed
Coordinate with the Marketing Department on lead generation and new product development whilst providing recommendations, based on market insight and knowledge, on pricing approaches
Develop and training the Sales Team by motivating them, ensuring products knowledge and guide/assist when needed
Attend management meetings and discussing different strategies to reach company goals
Set targets which align with the Company goals and incentivising the Sales team to meet the said targets
Skill-sets and Requirements
Excellent communication in Maltese & English
Strong flair for sales
Must have a creative approach with a keen eye for detail
Must be able to lead a team of people and motivate them to achieve set targets
Good analytical skills meticulous in your work
Conversant in the use of MS Excel and MS Word
Education & Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry minimum 2 years
Experience in meeting planned sales goals through a coordinated team effort
Experience in tracking sales goals, taking corrective action when needed
An excellent coach and mentor to his/ her team, leading by example
Possess good knowledge of sales techniques, able to multitask and is also able to work under tight deadlines
