Our client is looking to recruit a Sales Manager to join the Sales Department. Reporting to the Head of Sales you will be responsible for: 

  • The management of already-existing customers and negotiating with them on discounts, shelf space and chiller/freezer space
  • The authorisation of sales orders and volume rebates for customers
  • The creation of a positive experience through the provision of top-tier customer service to customers via a consultative selling approach.
  • Leading the Sales Team
  • Oversee and monitor the activities and performance of the Sales team, tach sales targets and taking corrective measurements when needed
  • Coordinate with the Marketing Department on lead generation and new product development whilst providing recommendations, based on market insight and knowledge, on pricing approaches
  • Develop and training the Sales Team by motivating them, ensuring products knowledge and guide/assist when needed
  • Attend management meetings and discussing different strategies to reach company goals
  • Set targets which align with the Company goals and incentivising the Sales team to meet the said targets
Skill-sets and Requirements
  • Excellent communication in Maltese & English
  • Strong flair for sales
  • Must have a creative approach with a keen eye for detail
  • Must be able to lead a team of people and motivate them to achieve set targets
  • Good analytical skills meticulous in your work
  • Conversant in the use of MS Excel and MS Word
Education & Experience
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry minimum 2 years
  • Experience in meeting planned sales goals through a coordinated team effort
  • Experience in tracking sales goals, taking corrective action when needed
  • An excellent coach and mentor to his/ her team, leading by example
  • Possess good knowledge of sales techniques, able to multitask and is also able to work under tight deadlines
