Within this Sales Manager role, you will be reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager. Your responsibilities will include:
Identifying new commercial opportunities and manage marketing efforts
Keeping abreast of trends and market conditions to provide strategic advice to upper management
Developing and implementing commercial strategies to maximise revenue and expand the customer base
Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business / action plans on commercial opportunities (source markets expansion, business development etc.)
Achieving / exceeding annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
Understanding the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met
Acting to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing)
Monitoring the performance of commercial activities using key metrics and preparing reports for senior management
Assisting in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring
Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships
Effectively communicating the value proposition through proposals and presentations
Negotiating and closing agreements with customers
Familiarity in dealing with tour operator partners and OTAs
Understanding the local market challenges
Skill-sets and Requirements
Excellent communication skills in English
Able to handle a fast paced environment with good multi tasking skills
Hard-working and flexible whilst being adaptable
Strong business and commercial acumen combined with analytical ability
Education & Experience
5 years’ experience in the local hospitality industry, with a minimum of 2/3 years in a similar sales position
Tertiary Level of Education in Tourism is preferred
