As a Sales and Business Development Manager, you will be the first point of contact for clients and will be responsible to promote and sell the company’s range of products. Your duties will include:
Lead & Manage the company’s sales function
Work closely with other departments to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and service delivery
Attend fairs and exhibitions to seek different networking opportunities, identify revenue opportunities and promote the brand’s products
Identify potential clients to establish new leads, and engage on business to business dealings
Engage in proactive sales calls and proposals
Present and consult with the CEO and management team on business trends with a view to develop new services, products, and distribution channels
Follow up on customer queries and requests for quotations
Prepare draft contracts of sales as required
Prepare and/or manage tenders as per requirements
Review existing funds & opportunities including proactive research with Trade Malta and other sources
Visit site installations together with the technical team and/or clients as required
Engage or contribute in product marketing including TV and other adverts
Lead the export campaign and establish the proper infrastructure to launch export initiatives successfully
Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
Ensuring that all work including interactions with all stakeholders is done according to the quality and ethical standards established by the Company
Skill-sets and Requirements
Able to meet agreed sales & profit targets
Sales savvy, customer focused and analytical individual
Strong people management and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
A technical inclination
Fluency in both written and spoken Maltese and English
A valid drivers license
Education & Experience
Previous experience in a Sales Manager / Business Development Manager position or similar
Previous experience within the field of renewable energy will be considered a strong plus
A strong background in sales / business development is required
