Category Manager
Homemate Co. Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Category Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.
The chosen candidate would ideally have relevant experience in FMCG/retail environment and have excellent negotiating skills, apart from the below:
- Ability to be flexible and work to tight deadlines;
- Confident Excel skills;
- Ability to build relationships both with suppliers and internal teams;
- Good communication skills;
- Time Management.
Job Role:
- To continuously review category performance and the market place;
- Be responsible for developing the buying strategy for product areas and will source and develop product ranges that satisfy client requirements, whilst achieving the company's financial objectives;
- Drive supplier negotiations to maximize profits on stock items ensuring that all suppliers are meeting requirements on margin, marketing support, and delivery performance;
- Work with the Marketing team to maximize the success of the promotional activity;
- Provide information and analysis to assess levels of slow-moving & nonmoving stock and work with the team to clear. Maintain stock at agreed levels for planned activity and to reduce overstocks.
