Role Overview
Heroix is collaborating with an established technology business within the banking and compliance sector to recruit a Business Development Manager. This role is ideal for a results-driven individual who excels at building strong client relationships and identifying growth opportunities. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales, expanding the Company’s footprint locally and abroad, and promoting advanced regulatory technology solutions that transform compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Identify new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and market research.
  • Client Engagement: Meet prospective clients to assess their requirements and present tailored technology solutions.
  • Product Demonstrations: Deliver engaging presentations that clearly demonstrate the value and capabilities of the Company’s compliance products.
  • Proposal Preparation: Develop well-structured business proposals that align with client needs and company objectives.
  • Negotiation: Manage the negotiation process, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that drive long-term partnerships.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with pre-sales and delivery teams to ensure smooth implementation and client satisfaction.
  • Account Management: Maintain ongoing client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for expansion.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

  • Education: A tertiary-level degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as Business, IT, or Finance.
  • Experience: Proven success in business development or sales, ideally within the banking, compliance, or technology sectors.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese or another European language would be an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Confident in delivering persuasive presentations and clearly articulating complex concepts.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building abilities with clients at all levels, including C-suite executives.
  • Technical Skills: A sound understanding of financial technology, regulatory compliance, AML, KYC, and risk management solutions.
  • Organisation: Skilled in managing multiple priorities, ensuring timely follow-up, and maintaining accurate sales records.
  • Self-Motivated: Driven, goal-oriented, and proactive in pursuing new opportunities and achieving targets.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify client needs and provide effective, tailored solutions.
