PTL Limited is currently seeking to engage a Business Development Manager to strengthen its commercial team and generate new business prospects in the Public Sector and Enterprise industries.
The Position
Based in Malta, and reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the selected candidate will be responsible for devising and proposing short and long-term sales strategies for specific products and solutions, both locally and internationally. It is imperative for the individual to possess a proactive sales mindset, as Key Performance Indicators for this role will focus on identifying and closing new opportunities. Additionally, the role includes supporting marketing initiatives by contributing to the planning and execution of targeted campaigns and the development of engaging content for social media platforms to drive visibility and lead generation.
The Business Development Manager will be expected to familiarize themselves with PTL’s product portfolio, stay updated on technology trends in the industry, and remain informed about upcoming regulatory requirements that may impact the relevant technology. Collaboration with internal Solutions Architects will be necessary to develop features and functionality for product advancement and roadmap. The candidate will also be expected to represent the company at industry fairs and conferences, both locally and abroad, to network, identify new business opportunities, and maintain visibility within the market.
Understanding the different business needs of each client and maintaining strong relationships with clients is critical to the role, which may involve travel to attend networking events, as well as presenting to commercial customers or senior public sector officials.

The Requirements
The preferred candidate will be a highly experienced individual with a minimum of 5 years work experience in the Information Technology industry, with a strong technical and business acumen. The ideal candidate would possess a proven track record of effectively promoting solutions to senior decision makers. The role requires a motivated professional who excels in building and managing relationships, as well as achieving sales targets. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, and a demonstrated history of successful conversions, will be given preference.
Excellent communication skills, fluency in both Maltese and English, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are crucial to the role. As our industry requires on-site meetings with customers, it is essential that the candidate is currently residing in Malta, has experience interacting with Maltese companies and is willing to travel. Additionally, clean police conduct, and valid driving license are also necessary for this position.
