Michael Debono Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a B2C Sales Manager to join their Sales Team on a full-time basis. 

The company today operates one of Malta’s largest automotive dealerships. It represents more than 9 OEM brands. First and foremost of these is Toyota – which was the first OEM brand we started to build a relationship with way back in 1960 when we imported the first Toyota vehicle to Europe. The company and employs more than 130 multi-disciplined employees . The product offering is composed of passenger and commercial vehicles, motorbikes, vehicle parts and accessories, and aftersales services. The company also offers consumers a range of consumer finance solutions to fund the acquisition of their vehicles. Moving forward the company is looking to enhance the mobility experience for each and every customer by delivering great products that are customizable, affordable, comfortable, and environment friendly. We aim to support our customers both through their personal and professional needs.

The Position:
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the B2C Sales Manager shall:
  • Be responsible for achieving B2C new vehicle sales revenue and profitability;
  • Be responsible for meeting the target of value chain sales;
  • Manage the performance of the sales team;
  • Drive team motivation;
  • Be responsible for the professional and personal development of the team;
  • Monitor that the entire sales process is being adhered to;
  • Actively participate in the preparation of the budget for the B2C new vehicle segment;
  • Manage day-to-day operations;
  • Prepare monthly performance update of department and market;
  • Participate in communication with suppliers as necessary;
  • Ensure that the team has all the tools to enable them to complete the sales cycle; from quote to delivery;
  • Be responsible for the update and stock of specifications sheets;
  • Approve discounts;
  • Provide input for marketing campaigns and liaise with product development Manager to launch new offerings;
  • Communicate offering with Sales teams, Call Centre, and Marketing teams;
  • Liaise with product development Manager to ensure that prices on the database, sales tools, and website match;
  • Be responsible for directing the procurement execution team to process the order required in a timely manner, after determining the number of units and variants;
  • Be responsible for the movement of stock and making plans to ensure turnover of stock; 
  • Ensure that showroom is kept up to standard while vehicles are delivered on time;
  • Be responsible for keeping control of all costs;
  • Implement practices and processes to enhance customer experience and increase the level of customer satisfaction;
  • Liaise with all departments to fulfill customer’s expectations.

The Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications;
  • Minimum of 2 years managerial sales experience;
  • Excellent communication both verbally and written in Maltese and English;
  • Possession of clean driving license;
  • Strong automotive market knowledge and experience are essential;
  • Highly goal-oriented with excellent negotiation skills;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Problem-solving skills and drive to succeed;
  • Possess good analytical and presentation skills;
  • Good communicator;
  • Motivator and influencer;
  • Commercial acumen.

*The Position is offered on a full-time basis, from Monday to Friday. Employer references may be requested at the second interview phase.
