Toly Products Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a full-time Quality Manager (Manufacturing) to join their successful Quality team supporting our cutting-edge manufacturing operations, focusing on developing the right quality processes and technology to anticipate and exceed customer expectations at our Malta Plant.

Key Accountabilities Include:
  • Develop and implement the plant total quality strategy, budgets, procedures, standards & specifications designed to ensure consistent best-in-class quality aligned with Toly’s overall strategy
  • Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
  • Devise and review specifications for products or processes including CAPA investigations
  • Set requirements for raw materials or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance
  • Supervise inspectors, technicians, and other staff and provide guidance and feedback
  • Oversee and obtain a handover on new products to be able to maintain quality standards
  • Inspect raw material, operating processes, and final output and compare properties to requirements, maintaining a quality assurance mindset
  • Approve the right products or reject defectives
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
  • Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met
  • Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives
  • Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures
  • Support the achievement of rigorous international quality standards and customer audits
  • Communicate with customers on quality issues
  • Develop and oversee KPIs to maintain a continuous improvement mindset in Quality.

Key Technical Skills/Knowledge/Professional Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University ideally in Engineering or Quality Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in complex manufacturing
  • Experience in dealing with customers and suppliers
  • Expert knowledge of TQM, QMS & OPEX
  • Knowledge of Lean, 5S, or six sigma
  • Project Management skills
  • Knowledge of IT tools and platforms that enable quality success This role requires a person who can develop a technical quality team, be able to prioritize under
  • pressure, and work effectively in a team. S/he must be good at building relationships across the business and have good written and verbal communication skills. Teamwork, a positive mindset, and the ability to multitask under pressure are important attributes we are looking for.
