Merit Malta Ltd is looking to recruit a Head of Quality Control to join the team on a full-time basis.
Duties will include:
- Overall responsibility for Quality activities across the business
- Improve required quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance
- Ensure that quality strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs
- Make sure that all processes are being followed
- Release of products
- Responsible for audits ISO and TS16949.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Qualified Mechanical Engineer with a background in Electrical Engineering/Qualified Electrical Engineer with a background in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in quality duties would be an asset
- Technical know-how on automotive electrical components (relays, switches, etc.)
- Computer literate (MS Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to multitask and keep to deadlines
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 & TS16949 is an asset.
List of Responsibilities:
- Implementing methods to inspect, test, and evaluate products and production equipment
- Ensuring that products adhere to quality standards
- Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
- Working according to deadlines
- Training staff on quality assessment of goods
- Tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is correct
- Performing detailed and recorded inspections of final products to make sure products are up to standards
- Problem-solving and being able to give technical solutions.
