In the job opportunity of a Head of Quality Control, you will be leading the QC Department and your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the daily activities pertaining to all areas within the QC laboratory to ensure that all required activities are completed and documented in an accurate, consistent and compliant manner
Overseeing the lab schedule to ensure production needs are met whilst developing contingency plans to avoid missing schedule expectations
Developing and implementing ways to improve laboratory productivity, cost control and output
Conducting, supervising and performing the necessary analytical work for raw materials, excipients, intermediates, finished dosage forms, and packaging materials; assuring adequate scientific and technical quality, and on time
Providing leadership direction, coaching, and assistance to direct reports in the areas of employee training and development, problem resolution, and work assignment delegation
Skill-sets and Requirements
Excellent written and spoken English
Ability to multi-task and to work as part of a team
Effective interpersonal, leadership, organizational and project management skills
Ability to challenge processes to improve quality, efficiency, and compliance
Education & Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Analytical Chemistry or Chemistry
Previous experience in pharmaceutical product testing, Quality Control with management experience
Knowledge and experience with Total Quality Management, and other quality management philosophies
